Put Away Sin!

 Not sure if there are too many people who remember or even care that God’s devastating wrath is coming very soon. Very few are watching the events that are taking place, that clue us in on the coming of the end of the Church Age. So many are “drunk” on the happenings of this present world, lusting after & taking part in all the excitement the enemy placing before our hungry eyes. Should we as Born-Again Christians take part in any of the worldly excitement? It is fine, as long as those excitements do not take away your personal time with Christ, it does not take away from your personal time in the Bible, it does not take away from your personal time in prayer NOR diminishes your love For God or the things of God! The has come, for each of us to examine our own selves, giving us full assurance we are solidly in the faith walk! Adjustments may be required! We may need to stop watching some worldly things! We may need to stop listening to some worldly things. We may need to stop going to some worldly places! We may need to end some worldly friendships or relationships! Oh, I warn you, your flesh will rise up. You must stand against it, take the Believer’s Authority over it! Day aloud: Flesh, desires, stand down in the name of Jesus! I take authority over you, I reject you, & in the name of Jesus I bind those worldly desires! I loose Godly desires to flow through me in the name of Jesus! Amen Amen & Amen! Thank You Jesus!! I choose to return to my first love! Jesus! And reject Satan’s worldly offerings that lead to Eternal Damnation!

Colossians 3:3-10 (AMP)  For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

So put to death anddeprive of power the evil longings of your earthly body [with its sensual, self-centered instincts] immorality, impurity, sinfulpassion, evil desire, and greed, which is [a kind of] idolatry [because it replaces your devotion to God]. Because of these [sinful] things the [divine] wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience [those who fail to listen and who routinely and obstinately disregard God’s precepts], and in these [sinful things] you also once walked, when you were habituallyliving in them [without the knowledge of Christ]. But now rid yourselves [completely] of all these things: anger, rage, malice, slander, and obscene (abusive, filthy, vulgar) language from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old self with its evilpractices, and have put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continuallyrenewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self.

Come Close To God

 A Thought this morning from Jeremiah 5:22a (AMP)

‘Do you not fear Me?’ says the Lord. ‘Do you not tremble [in awe] in My presence? 

Have we lost touch with our Creator? Are we ever so busy chasing the things of this world, we pushed God somewhere into the deep recesses of our minds, way off in the far corner of the back 40? Have we forgotten what He has done for us? Have we completely lost the fear of the Great Tribulation, the terrors of Hell & the eternity spent in damnation in the Lake of Fire, for the moment of time that we currently walk through? One thing is for certain, God is not a liar, He will do exactly what He said He would perform. He would NOT leave NOR forsake us! Do you know what forsake means? It means to turn your back on someone & walk away. (Hebrews 13:5). Just know, if we press in to God, move closer & closer to Him, He WILL do the same toward us! Draw close to Him, open the Bible, gain a deeper understanding of Him! Draw close to Him, pray, talk to Him as your closest Friend! Draw close to Him, reject the ways & wisdom of the world, for, God’s ways & wisdom found in the Bible! Live morally upright in a dark, in a perverse world! Live the Christian lifestyle, in both the Righteousness & in the Holiness of Christ! Draw close to God, He WILL, draw close to you!

James 4:8 (AMP) Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people].

The Barn Or The Fire, You Choose

 You know we are moving through this life, at breakneck speeds. Not really paying attention to very much except what we are focused on. At one time, we were on fire for God & the things of God. That fire, is at best, for many, just some coals that are no longer red, but white ash. Many have thought, where is the promise of His return? Where is the life changing preaching? Where is the exciting Spirit moving worship? Even the Churches who rejected the alter of prayer, the alter of Salvation & the alter of repentance has replaced these with the stage of entertainment! Now the Churches are asking a question, that question is: where are the people? I thought we were entertained the people? I have heard preachers speak from a secular books from the pulpit, no Bible in sight. The Word is clear: faith comes by hearing & hearing by the Word of God.(Romans 10:17). It is of no wonder that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not flowing in their fullness! It is of no wonder the people cannot call on the elders, for prayer, when sick, to be anointed, call on the name of the Lord & the prayer of faith will heal them! (James 5:15-16). But, unfortunately, faith is less than the grain of a mustard seed & prayer for the sick does not happen much anymore, it gets in the way of the entertainment! Right now, the Believer’s Authority, at best, is weak so many Christians live in fear! I personally thing that fear should be directed toward God Himself. Why? Many professing Christians live a life away from the morals & ways of God, they look more like the world than set apart peculiar people! No reason to fear the enemy, Jesus already defeated him! If you are going to fear, fear that you have backslid, & if you keep going the way you are headed, you could loose it all & find yourself slid into Hell! (Matthew 10:28). My prayer is that you will kindle that fire again, before it is too late! Read that Bible for all it is worth! Spend daily time in prayer! Stand upright, strong in the Lord, rejecting the worldly enticing fleshly pleasures & grow in both faith & spirit! Time is short! You will want to be counted with the “wheat” & be placed in the safety of the “barn”! NOT with the “tares” which are the unrepentant & thrown in the fire(Hell). Repent TODAY! Build your faith TODAY! Live God’s morally upright lifestyle TODAY! Go after the things of God & reject the spirit crushing ways of this present evil world TODAY! 

Matthew 3:12 (AMP) His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear out His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat (believers) into His barn (kingdom), but He will burn up the chaff (the unrepentant) with unquenchable fire.”

Become Heavenly Minded

 One thing we need to become aware of, very-very aware of, as truly Born-Again Christians is to get our focus off the things of this world & begin to focus on things above, in Heaven, focus on the Bible, focus on prayer, even attending Church! Many times  times the things we place our affections on in this world, turns to loving. Satan has done a mighty work in getting Christians to transfer their walk with Christ onto temporary pleasures of this world. Do not feel alone, if you are just realizing this, I am seeing this very clearly in my own life also! We all need to do an about face! Repent! Tell Jesus how sorry we are sorry & sin no more in this area! Return to your first love, Jesus! (Revelation 2:4). We must not drift away from what we have heard concerning Jesus & His Word! If we do/are, we are treading on a slippery slope, possible even walking away from a Great Salvation! (Hebrews 2:1-3). There is time to repent, but I appeal to you, do it today, tomorrow, well tomorrow maybe too late & that door to repentance & Grace could be closed, shut tight!!

Colossians 3:1-4 (AMP) Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind andkeep focused habituallyon the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Salvation

 SALVATION

BEING BORN-AGAIN

 

  The Bible teaches, "Salvation," "being Born-Again" is necessary for a person to see the Kingdom of God, have eternal life, forgiveness of sin and have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He or she by faith "trust" that Jesus is the Son of God, is the Christ, "Anointed One", died and was resurrected from death for the "Atonement" of their sins. They must be willing to turn away from sin and to give their lives to Jesus. Salvation is totally by the grace of God.

 

* Atonement is the doctrine(teaching) concerning the reconciliation of Father-God and humankind, especially as accomplished through the life, suffering, and death of Christ.

*As with God, Who is three in one: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. We are three in one: We are spirit, soul & body. We are made in God's image, which is Spirit. We have a soul, which is: our mind, will & emotion. And we have a physical or fleshly body which "houses" our spirit & soul.

*At the very moment of Salvation, when one accepts Jesus as their Lord & Savior, their spirit is regenerated(Changed, made anew to understand & be open to the Lord's ways).

*When one accepts Jesus as their Lord & Savior they are "sealed" by the Holy Spirit. The NIV in 2nd Corinthians 1:21-22tells us clearly: "Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come". No one(either of the spirit or the flesh) can "take-away" or "steal-away", For we ARE sealed by the Holy Spirit!

*The "blood" of Jesus cleanses us from ALL sins at the moment of Salvation. Every time we ask forgiveness the very same blood cleanses us & make us white as snow. Revelation 1:5 tells in the KJV: "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood." The song is absolutely truth: There IS power, wonder working power IN the Blood of the Lamb. Jesus Is the Lamb of God, His blood is perfect, no spot(sin) within it!! 1st John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

*After accepting Jesus as one's Lord & Savior, one becomes a "Disciple" of Jesus. Disciple simply means: One under instruction. So one is under the instruction of Jesus. One MUST then dig into the Bible, which is The Word of God. Start with the Book of John, then go to Matthew, then Mark, then Luke & then read John again. One MUST begin their "personal" relationship with Jesus by reading & studying the Bible.

 

EPHESIANS 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

EPHESIANS 2:9

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

GOD ELECTS, PREDESTINES, CALLS, JUSTIFIES, SANCTIFIES AND GLORIFIES EVERY TRUE BELIEVER.

ROMANS 8:29

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

PRAYER

The person should be asked to confess their sins and to call upon Jesus to receive him/her and to give their lives over to Jesus. Ask them to repeat this prayer aloud, if they do this is a good sample prayer to use:

Jesus, forgive me of my sins. I take you at your word that you forgive those who ask. Be my Lord, as you are my Savior, I give myself to You. I am yours. thank You for being faithful and saving me. I have asked and believe You have saved me. Amen.

Just lead the person in this or a very similar prayer being sure they speak it out, they need to verbalize the words.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME...

Very Soon!

 It will be interesting when our Lord “pours out His Spirit” in His fullness, here, very shortly. Many younger Pentecostals nor other Christians have never experienced a powerful move of the Holy Spirit. But, they will! Many have never experienced the gifts of the Holy Spirit manifesting into the carnal, but they will! Many have never experienced the awesome action of being slain in the Spirt, but they will! Many ministers have never felt the breathtaking power of the Holy Spirit move from their hands into someone they are praying for, but they will! Many Preachers have never preached under the anointing of the Holy Spirit with boldness-without notes, but they will! Many Singers/worship teams have never ministered in music under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, but they will! Many, Born-Again Christians, even Pastors, have never experienced the Teaching/the Guidance of the Holy Spirit as the study the Word of God-the Bible, but they will! Many have never been in the “driver’s seat,” casting out of a demon, but they will. Many Born-Again Christians have never had that true intimate relationship with Jesus,but the will! As everything changes around us, our lives change, many times not at all in a good way. But soon, your life will change for the better, even though the world is crashing, The Holy Spirit will move in powerful ways, very powerful ways! God’s plan is perfect! His ways are perfect! Step into the flow of the Holy Spirt! While the world crashes, the Kingdom Of God flourishes! Never forget, Jesus provided an abundant life in Him, A more than abundant!(John 10:10). 

Acts 2:17-19 (AMP) ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ says God,

‘That I will pour out My Spirit upon all mankind;

And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

And your young men shall see [divinely prompted] visions,

And your old men shall dream [divinely prompted] dreams;

Even on My bond-servants, both men and women,

I will in those days pour out My Spirit

And they shall prophesy.

‘And I will bring about wonders in the sky above

And signs (attesting miracles) on the earth below,

Blood and fire and smoking vapor.

Do Not Let Your Salvation Slip Away

 Have you ever taken a few moments out of your busy life to just think about Salvation? The cost? The price Jesus paid for you? Have you thought about the moment you accepted Jesus, as your Lord & as your Savior? At that moment, you, gave Jesus all your sins, you, were washed white as snow by His Blood. Absolutely Positively clean of sin! Standing in complete freedom. Redeemed fully from the law of sin & death transformed into the law of the Spirit of life & the Grace of Christ! A Glorious time for sure! Now somehow, someway, that Glorious time faded, you haven’t backslid onto that wide-wide road leading to Hell, but the world has offering pleasing sights to those carnal eyes over shadowing the Kingdom of God Eternal offerings, as the present offerings of this world are soever pleasing to your flesh, it began choking off the spirit in you. Oh wait, maybe a pastor is to blame, he talked too much about sin, or possibly not enough. Maybe a friend in the Congregation invited you along to places, even though you knew were wrong to go, but that darn flesh made it feel soo ok and soo good! But, let me be frank, it’s all on you! Yes, on you alone! The power to overcome is within us! 2nd Timothy 1:6 (AMP) For God did not give us a spirit of timidity orcowardice orfear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment andpersonal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. We must, seek for own selves, the Word of God, to apply it, against the flesh as it rises up to allow worldly cares, worldly pleasures to overtake us, drawing us away from the perfect Truth, the overcoming power of God’s Word, in  us & around us, keeping us from walking in victory over the world & over sin! 

Romans 12:2 (AMP)  And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed andprogressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
