FROM SUCH WITHDRAW THYSELF

Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Will a lion roar in the forrest, when he hath no prey? Will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin (trap) is for him? Shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all? Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it? Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets. The lion roared, who will fear? The Lord hath spoken, who can but prophecy?

And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the Lord. For thus saith the Lord God; the city went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel. Whom shall He teach knowledge? and whom shall He make to understand doctrine? Them that are weaned from the milk, and drwn from the breasts. If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the doctrine which is according to Godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
