LACK OF FEAR(of the Lord)
Fear = Anxiety caused by approaching danger.
A. Fear is caused by:
1. Disobedience (Genesis 3:10)
2. Impending judgment (Hebrews 11:7)
3. Persecution (John 20:19)
4. Events of nature (Acts 27:17,29)
5. Suspicion (Acts 9:26)
6. Uncertainty (II Corinthians 11:3)
7. Final Events (Luke 21:26)
8. Death (Hebrews 2:15)
B. Godly Fear:
1. Hating Evil (Proverbs 8:13)
2. Satisfying (Proverbs 14:27)
3. Sanctifying (Proverbs 19:9)
4. Beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 1:7)
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Today we have transgressed to a point where there is near a point of zero fear of God. Our actions, our words we speak, even our thoughts are at a point where there is no room for fear; we have become immune to the fear of God. Hear me, hear me now! Grace has been abused (Jude 4), frustrated (Galatians 2:21) and many have turned from grace (Galatians 5:3-4).
The time is now to crucify our flesh daily, not just on Sundays for an hour or so. Take a close look at ourselves, what have we allowed to creep in that is not of God (John 16:33)? Jesus looking to Matthew 4, for our guidance of overcoming attacks of satan, as Jesus said, each time: “As it is written.” The word of God spoken aloud overcomes the problem. Jesus is the word. Now cast down, cast out, what has creped in and eroded your fear of God, and prevented godly wisdom to flow fully in your life, hate evil, treasure the things of God!
God Is Good All The Time!!!
