Patience

James 1:2-4 – “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish it’s works so that you may be mature and complete not lacking anything.”Patience! Today we are in need of patience! We can be so mature in one area of our life, then in another area we could be a two year old child. I personally am amazed at myself in this area. But as this passage shows each of us, to reach the place of patient and to be mature and complete and lacking nothing we must “walk” thru the trials and “testing” of our faith and grow mature through patience. How we handle the trials will decide the outcome of our patience. The number one thing to remember when the trials come is not to move into the flesh, but go directly to the Word of God, open your mouth and speak the Word out aloud against the trial. Be bold, be fearless, for Jesus defeated satan 2,000 years ago and we must walk in this victory 24/7. Now whatever you are facing (trial), REJOICE – I say it again….REJOICE!!! You are about to move into a new area of patience. Start not only praising Jesus, but speak the Word out against that trial and cast it as far from the east is from the west. Now many instances require more than casting the trial away. For this reason, we have gotten ourselves into the trial because of our own ignorance, if this be the case, then we look to Jesus:
James 1:5 – “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. Ask God—He gives wisdom without finding fault! We messed up-He still gives wisdom generously! What an Awesome God we have! There is a stipulation to this though, in vs. 6 we see this—But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. Vs. 7, that man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord. Vs. 8, he is double-minded, unstable in all he does. Remember, ask and you shall receive from God! The testing of our faith gets us to the place of being mature and complete and not lacking anything!

It is no fun to face trials, I know this, but as satan throws things at you, or you first get in a mess by your own ignorance, STOP!! Go no further on your own. Open your Bible, speak out the Word, lift your voice to Jesus, ask Him for wisdom (His direction), and don’t doubt. Be patient! For your salvation draws nigh! Keep your eyes on Jesus! Walk in maturity through patience.

God Is Good All The Time!!!
